Garrett House is a home
of distinction, providing quality
24-hour care, with emphasis on independence, dignity and privacy for our
elderly clients. The home is run by Barry and Win Stedman who have been
the resident owners for over 19 years, and the home is run on a daily
basis by their daughter, Tanya Stedman-Keeble, RGN (Deputy Manager).
Barry and Win say. We are proud of our reputation of
providing excellent care in a homely, warm and luxurious atmosphere. We
are registered for 40 residential clients, who may be short or long term
or staying with us for a break or holiday on short-term respite care.
We provide care after minor surgery or illness and permanent care for
the elderly. We are committed to running a non-institutionalised home
for the elderly, to ensure our clients live in a caring atmosphere, a
home for life.

Its rooms have spectacular views overlooking the meandering River Alde and the grounds of Garrett House with croquet lawn, sculptured terraces, tropical themed courtyard, summer house and large ponds. |  |
We have recently increased our facilities with the opening of a new wing,
providing a further 15 rooms, a new lift, second drawing room and bathrooms
equipped with the latest care equipment.
A superb location close
to the town centre and sea front of Aldeburgh.
Aldeburgh, on the Suffolk Heritage Coast is quiet and
unspoilt. A seaside town its pebble beach is fringed with small fishing
huts.
The High Street boasts many facilities including; Chemist,
Post Office; Supermarket Newsagents, Banks, Outfitters, Cinema, and several
Art Galleries and Antique shops. It is also renowned for its rich variety
of restaurants and local taverns. The world famous Snape Maltings are nearby, a must for
music lovers!
The Aldeburgh Cottage Hospital and the Doctors surgery
are also very close to Garrett House.
Many of our referrals have been as a result of personal
recommendation from friends, relations of past and present guests, Doctors,
Social Workers and local hospitals. We like to invite prospective clients
to visit us and to view our premises or even stay with us for a short
trial period prior to taking long term occupancy you need to be sure
you will be happy here with us.
Our
dining room, with its elegant décor, has the feel of a first class
restaurant and it overlooks the terrace and gardens.
There are seats placed all around the grounds for everyone to sit and
enjoy the fresh air. A path wends its way through the garden, making the
whole garden accessible to all.
